If we think carefully, our life is a sum total, an outcome of our own habits; both good and bad.
Good habits give us self confidence and we live in high self esteem, whereas, Bad habits crush our self respect. It’s only our habits which make our image not only in society but also in our own eyes.
Many a times, we all must have pledged to give up one bad habit or the other, but sometimes it is so deeply rooted in us that we are unable to come out of it, we are unable to give up that particular bad habit.
However, it’s your life and you must take control of it, only you can take it into the right direction.
Well, it’s never too late. Let bygones be bygones. We can still start afresh.
Let’s take up any one bad habit and pledge to give it up.
The most important step is to bring in Discipline and Commitment. When we give a word to ourselves, when we make a promise to ourselves, we are faced with two choices; one is Courage and the other is Fear. When we are struck by fear, we have negative thoughts in our mind; thoughts like,”I can’t do it, it is too difficult for me” etc.
On the other hand, if we take up Courage, we will realise that this courage brings up new, creative and innovative solutions to give up that bad habit. We start believing in ourselves which boosts our self confidence and it is this self confidence that lets us think clearly on our next step and future plans. This in turn empowers us to take up bigger commitments in life with courage and confidence. This is how we can give up all of our bad habits that weaken us, bring us down and take away all of our Positivity.
And when this commitment becomes our habit, our life brightens up with positivity. It brings absolutely clarity in life and nothing seems impossible then. Life then fills with Positivity, Energy, Happiness, Peace, Tranquility and Enthusiasm. And when we add to it this belief, that God is with me and He will open all avenues for me and he will give me strength to solve my problems, life becomes a joyride, and then we spread this joy to others around us. This is how life reaches fulfilment.
So, live life to the fullest, hurt no one, live and let live. Be happy and spread happiness. Focus on staying on the path to MOKSHA. This what our ultimate aim in life is, this is why we came on this earth.
Om Namah Shivaay.
